Mike Schmidt was a twelve time All-Star, ten time Gold Glove Award winner, World Series Champion and won the NL MVP three times. He was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1995. On the left front tail is the Wilson manufacturer’s tag size “42” with washing instructions. Adjacent below is a strip tag reading “77 1” embroidered in navy chain stitch. Inside the rear collar is a strip tag with the player name “Schmidt” embroidered in navy chain stitch. On the left chest is the team “P” logo. Player number “20” appears on both the front and back. All numbering and lettering is done in red on white tackle twill. The front is a full zipper and is functional. The name on back has been removed. Directly sourced from a minor league player who was given this jersey after the 1977 season to wear afterwards in Spring Training and kept it. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows outstanding wear with extended organizational use.
