Tony Esposito was one of the best goaltenders in the NHL and international competition during the 1970s. Esposito was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1988 and has his No. 35 retired by the Chicago Blackhawks franchise. On the inside below the rear collar is a “Wilson” size “44” manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions. The shirt is mistagged and measures out to a 50, which is commonplace for Wilson during this era and is correct for Esposito. Inside of the front right tail is a “77” year tag. Below is a “GUNZO’S” distributor’s tag. On the chest is the team’s logo embroidered in orange, green, red, white, blue, yellow and black chain-stitching on tan tackle twill. There is an alternate team logo on each shoulder in green, black, red and yellow chain-stitching on black tackle twill. The player number “35” appears on the back and on each sleeve in black on red tackle twill. There are repairs on the back player number “35”. Across the back reads the player name, “ESPOSITO” in black tackle twill on a white nameplate. Esposito signed the left chest in blue pen and in our opinion, rates an 8 overall. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. Accompanied by a full JSA LOA and an additional LOA.
