Al Kaline, better known as, “Mr. Tiger” was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1980 on the first ballot. Kaline spent his entire 22-year career with the club and was named an All-Star 18 times, won a World Series championship and has his No. 6 retired by the franchise. On the front left tail is a grey strip tag with, “44 74 1” embroidered on it in navy blue stitching. On the inside below the rear collar is a “Wilson” size “44” manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions. Across the chest reads, “DETROIT” and the player number “6” appears on the back. These are done in navy blue on orange tackle twill. Across the back reads the player name, “KALINE” in navy blue tackle twill sewn directly onto the grey jersey. There is light staining on the front and below the player number. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows excellent use.
