The San Diego Conquistadors (the "Q's" to their loyal fans and sportswriters) were an ABA rarity: an ABA expansion team. Their players for their first season (1972-73) were unprotected players taken from other ABA teams in a special expansion draft. Lee Davis played for eight seasons in the American Basketball Association. A center and forward during his career, he played for five different ABA teams and played in an ABA All-Star Game in 1970. Davis joined the San Diego Conquistadors for the 1974–75 season. He shot 52.8% from the field, finishing among the league's top ten in field goal percentage, while averaging nearly twelve points and six-and-a-half rebounds per game. On the front left tail is the "Spanjian" “Designed Expressly for Stanley Andrews Sports Goods” manufacturers tag. Attached below is the “XXXL” size flag tag. On the front left breast is “Q’s” in yellow on red tackle twill. Below on the right and on back is the player number "13." Across the back is the player name “DAVIS.” All lettering and numbering is done in yellow on red tackle twill. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. Accompanied by a LOA from Lee Davis.
