Jim Brown was selected by the Cleveland Browns in the first round of the 1956 NFL draft. When all was said and done he departed as the NFL record holder for both single-season (1,863 in 1963) and career rushing (12,312 yards), as well as the all-time leader in rushing touchdowns (106), total touchdowns (126), and all-purpose yards (15,549). He was the first player ever to reach the 100 rushing touchdowns milestone. Brown's record of scoring 100 touchdowns in only 93 games stood until the 2006 season. Brown holds the record for total seasons leading the NFL in all-purpose yards and is the only rusher in NFL history to average over 100 yards per game for a career. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1971. On the crotch piece is the King O’Shea manufacturer’s tag with an attached box tag with the size “48”. The player number “32” appears on the front, back and on both sleeves in white tackle twill. This jersey was gifted to a Cleveland radio station general manager and comes with an LOA from the family that reads in part “My father had Jim Brown as “talent” on a talk show. Mr. Brown gave my dad one of his football jerseys as a token of appreciation”. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows light use and displays beautifully with only a few hit marks and minor staining.
