Lou Tsioropoulos played college basketball at the University of Kentucky under legendary coach Adolph Rupp. As a sophomore in 1951 he was a member of Kentucky's NCAA Championship team. Tsioropoulos' #16 jersey was retired by his alma mater and he is in the University of Kentucky Athletics Hall of Fame. On the inside collar of the blue satin warm-up jacket is the “O’Shea” manufacturers tag. Also on the tag is the distributor, “Hunt’s Athletic Goods, Mayfield KY”. On the inner lining of the jacket are two labels, one with jacket size “44” and another with player number “16”. The “16” is actually two labels sewn directly next to one another, a “1” and a “6”. On the back of the jacket is “KENTUCKY” embroidered in large white satin block letters. Directly underneath is a large “Wildcat” embroidered in blue and red stitch on a white satin background. Inside the waistband of the blue satin warm-up pants is the same “O’Shea” tag. Adjacent are two labels, “36” and “46” respectively. To the right is player number “16” embroidered on two separate labels, a “1” and a “6” sewn together at the middle as above. The warm up jacket and pants show wear and appear to have no alterations of any kind.
