On the inside of the rear center tail is the number “40” in red stitching. On the inside below the rear collar reads, “Haley” in red stitching. We believe Haley wore this in spring training, was cut by the team and was worn the rest of the way by Murphy. Below is a “SPALDING” manufacturer’s tag. Adjacent is a size “46” tag. Below is a strip tag with washing instructions. On the left chest is a navy blue felt “NY” logo. This is restored. On the back is the player number “19” in navy blue felt lettering sewn directly onto the pinstripe flannel jersey. Original buttons. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. This flannel is in magnificent condition.
