Two-time All-Star George Selkirk spent nine seasons with the New York Yankees after being called up in 1935 to replace an aging Babe Ruth. Hitting over .300 for each of his first six seasons, he quickly became a valuable part of the Yankee organization, making an impressive six post season appearances. This Hillerich and Bradsby Louisville Slugger shows the labeling period of 1937-1941 and is from pre-model number days. It is a 35", 34.25 ounce bat that shows use on both sides of the barrel. It has been side written "4-9-38 -35 ounces -NY Amer Lea Yankees" in grease pencil.
