The 1932 New York Yankees were one of the best lineups ever produced, boasting nine future Hall of Fame inductees to go along with their future Hall of Fame manager. They put together a 107-47 regular season record and went up to sweep the Chicago Cubs for another World Championship. During the fifth inning of Game 3 of the World Series, Babe Ruth famously called his shot, pointing towards center field during an at-bat, where he then sent the following pitch over the fence. Mint toned ”REACH” manufactured OAL Harridge baseball. Crystal clear “REACH” stamp. There are 23 signatures including nine Hall of Fame inductees. The autographs are done in fountain ink and in our opinion, rates a near 9 overall with one lesser panel that includes no Hall of Famers. Signatures include: Babe Ruth (ss), Chas “Red” Ruffing, Lou Gehrig, Joe Sewell, Earle Combs, Herb Pennock, Bill Dickey, Vernon “Lefty” Gomez, Tony Lazzeri, Lyn Larry, Ben Chapman, Cy Moore, Jumbo Brown, Art Jorgens, George W. Pipgras, Myril Hoag, Doc Farrell, Charlie Devens, Ed Wells, Sam Byrd, John Allen, and Danny MacFayden. The Ruth and Gehrig signatures display perfectly next to one another that creates an optimal display factor. We were told by our consignor that this baseball was sourced through his family from a member of the New York Yankees’ grounds crew. This baseball is one of the finest 1932 championship baseballs in existence with no clubhouse signatures at all. Accompanied by a full JSA LOA.
