Christy Mathewson played 17 seasons with the New York Giants and was among the most dominant pitchers in baseball history. He is the only professional pitcher in history to rank in the top 10 both in career wins and in career ERA. Mathewson was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1936 as one of its inaugural members. A two-time World Series champion, Mathewson earned the pitching Triple Crown twice and was named to the MLB’s All-Century Team. The logo, “CM” and “1910” are engraved adjacent to it. On the inside reads, “SILVER FRONT” and “NICKELSILVER”. In our opinion, the face is in VG condition and the inside is well worn.
