A three-time Super Bowl champion, Super Bowl MVP, NFL MVP, and member of the NFL's 100th Anniversary All-Time Team, Jerry Rice holds the NFL records for career receptions, career receiving yards, and total touchdowns. During the first game of the 1997 season, Hall of Famer Jerry Rice tore the ACL and MCL in his left knee. Miraculously he returned in week fifteen versus the Denver Broncos and scored a touchdown in a 49ers win. Presented here is the jersey Rice wore in that historic contest. The jersey features snug-fitting ribbed-cuffed sleeves, tapered body, and custom tail. Inside the rear neck is the Reebok manufacturer’s tag size “46” with an attached flag tag reading “100% Nylon BLITZ 2”. The player number “80” appears on the front, back and on both shoulders in white on gold on black tackle twill. Across the back is the player name “RICE” on a red nameplate in white on black tackle twill. Wash wear and dirt stains to the fabric and identifiers are present. Rice signed the back of the jersey in black marker with the added inscription “Dec. 15 Return Game Denver Broncos” and in our opinion rates a near 9. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows excellent use. Accompanied by a Resolution Photo-Match LOA, a Beckett LOA and a Heritage LOA.
