This full ticket originates from Game 1 of the 1951 World Series, Mickey Mantle’s first appearance in the Fall Classic. In Game 1, the Yankees defeated the New York Giants to take a 1-0 series lead; The Bronx Bombers would go on to take the Series 4-2 for the franchise’s 14th World Championship. The full ticket measures 7-3/8” x 2-¼” and has a face value of “6.00” for “SECTION 24 - ROW L - SEAT 10”; Lower Stand Reserved Seat. There is one pinhole and a thin strip of tape on two of the edges where it was possibly mounted in a scrapbook; it still presents beautifully. Accompanied by an 8” x 10” black-and-white photo of Mantle swinging away at the plate at Yankee Stadium.
